Lisa Nixon had no thoughts of fronting a band when she moved to SWFL from North Carolina in 2019. She had been the voice for a successful acoustic duo, Neighbor Unknown, for five years and was just hoping to find another guitarist to continue down that same path. Then she met Mike Feiock and it all changed.

Mike had just moved to SWFL from California, where he had formed and led the successful show band, Max Cruise for 8 years. He was playing solo acoustic gigs on Pine Island, when a mutual friend connected him to Lisa. As they say in the movies…it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Mike and Lisa played as an acoustic duo on Pine Island and Matlacha for almost a year, when they got the CRAZY idea to form a band. Connecting with friends in Fort Myers for drums, bass, and keys, The Guilty Pleasure Band was born.

GP’s goal is not to play music and hope some people dance. Their mission is to tell a story thru music that connects to their audience and draws them in, so much so, that they can’t help themselves but participate, whether it be by singing along or shaking it on the dance floor. Isn’t that what Guilty Pleasure is all about? You just can’t help yourself!
